Decisions, doubts solved, all saved in the project history.<\/p>\n<p>To create a new chat just go in the project editor, you will find it on the right sidebar.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4908 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/chat-team.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"282\" height=\"82\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The chat can be <strong>created for the entire workgroup or just for the selected\u00a0<\/strong><strong>project assignees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Once created you can just start sending messages to your colleagues (you can mention too, see below) that will <strong>receive notifications<\/strong> on their desktop (<a href=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/twproject-advanced-usage\/configuration\/configure-twproject-https\/\">if you enabled https<\/a>) and in the left menu\u00a0<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4909\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/chat-icon.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"42\" height=\"30\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Chat\u00a0 works in a <strong>pinned mode<\/strong> allowing you to continue working on projects without leaving your context, chatting with your colleagues and working at the same time.<\/p>\n<p>We discuss to take decisions, and decisions need to become things to do easily. Every message of a chat can be transformed in ToDo with a click. Just <strong>go on the message and click on the ToDo icon.<\/strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-4910 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/chat-todo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"269\" height=\"71\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Twproject chats can be created <strong>also within colleagues<\/strong>,\u00a0 not connected to any project, to talk about work but also about personal things, chat log will be visible by participants only. Twproject Chat is included for free to every plan.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Discussion<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On every project or phase, you can even start some discussions. Discussion are driven by roles permission and you can have several on the same project:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5092\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/wp-content\/uploads\/discussion-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1599\" height=\"894\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mentions<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You can watch the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UbTHk8DO9o0\">video tutorial<\/a>, or follow the instructions below:<br \/>\nHere how people can be mentioned:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in chat messaging<\/li>\n<li>in project\/phase updates<\/li>\n<li>in ToDos comments<\/li>\n<li>in worklog action (text)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18531\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_chat.png\" alt=\"mentions in the chat\" width=\"338\" height=\"177\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>If you aim to mention someone in any of these contexts, insert the <strong>@<\/strong> character and start typing the name of the person. Select him with the mouse from the list and repeat this step for all the people you want to quote.<br \/>\nObviously, the more you type the more refined the search result will be.<br \/>\nSave or send the message and that\u2019s it.<\/p>\n<p>The person mentioned will receive one or more notifications, according to the channels he has enabled in his user options tab (email, digest, sticky note or application log).<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18536\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_opzioni-840x575.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 1362px) 62vw, 840px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_opzioni-840x575.png 840w, https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_opzioni-400x274.png 400w, https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_opzioni-705x483.png 705w, https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_opzioni.png 932w\" alt=\"mentions options\" width=\"840\" height=\"575\" \/><\/figure>\n<p>The new widget \u201cMy mentions\u201d is another way to receive notifications. It displays any quotes you receive in real time.<br \/>\nIt can be placed in any <a href=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/support\/using-twproject\/dashboard-the-users-home-pages\/\">dashboard.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>But what if an user does not activate any notification channels and does not insert the widget?<\/h3>\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"alignright size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-18541\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/mentions_menu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"57\" height=\"173\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>No problem at all!<br \/>\nOnce mentioned, a counter appears in the recipient\u2019s menu and it disappears only once the user has read the message.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, it is worth highlighting three aspects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>in chat messages only people who are part of the chat itself can be mentioned.
