This percentage indicates how busy all the resources in a department are during the project phase in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This ensures that there is a general readiness to perform the activity: who and how will perform the individual tasks can be seen later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a name=\"tag\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Allocating to direct resources: the use of tags<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Coming to the specific case of direct contracting, here is how to optimise the <strong>allocation of resources<\/strong> in a project by selecting them according to specific <strong>skills possessed<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s say that for the design phase of our project we need a CAD expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Using the <strong>+Team<\/strong> button from the resource assignment window of the Gantt, we can display all the resources that have previously been assigned that tag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"716\" height=\"500\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/assegnare-risorse-al-progetto-con-tag-1.jpg\" alt=\"allocation of resources using project tag\" class=\"wp-image-25614\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/assegnare-risorse-al-progetto-con-tag-1.jpg 716w, https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/assegnare-risorse-al-progetto-con-tag-1-400x279.jpg 400w, https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/assegnare-risorse-al-progetto-con-tag-1-705x492.jpg 705w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If we have done a good job during the <strong>resource entry<\/strong> phase, tags will come in very handy at this stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We can also temporarily place all resources with that tag and then see which one has the greatest availability to carry out the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"825\" height=\"525\" src=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/carco-di-lavoro-percentuale-1.jpg\" alt=\"worklog percentage after time estimates\" class=\"wp-image-25618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/carco-di-lavoro-percentuale-1.jpg 825w, https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/carco-di-lavoro-percentuale-1-400x255.jpg 400w, https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/carco-di-lavoro-percentuale-1-705x449.jpg 705w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 709px) 85vw, (max-width: 909px) 67vw, (max-width: 984px) 61vw, (max-width: 1362px) 45vw, 600px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Assuming an estimated workload of 100 hours, we see that the resource with the highest availability, in the image above, is Robert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order not to overload the other two colleagues, we could then choose Robert as the project phase assignee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This function is therefore very useful for finding the right person based on his or her skills and, together with the load visualisation, allows us to better carry out our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/twproject.com\/blog\/resource-management-plan-5-key-tips-for-creating-a-perfect-one\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resource management plan<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a name=\"rescheduling\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rescheduling project timelines if resources reach full capacity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We have seen how project phases are assigned to teams or individuals according to their specific skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And <strong>Twproject<\/strong>, in doing so, immediately shows us how much the new assignment will affect the <strong>workload<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But what if the chosen resource or even worse the whole department is already fully loaded for the given period?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This will not necessarily jeopardise the <strong>feasibility of the project<\/strong>;
