Set the standard and lead by example<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Teams cannot<strong> know the expectations<\/strong> if a manager does not share them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Having a clear standard of excellence set allows everyone to know what is expected of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <strong>knowing what the manager&#8217;s expectations are<\/strong> will undoubtedly be of use, but it is far more useful and inspiring to see that manager lead by example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It may sound trite and rhetorical, but a good leader inspires trust and admiration <strong>through what they do<\/strong>, not through what they say.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pushing people all day long about what they &#8220;should&#8221; be doing doesn&#8217;t even come close to producing the results that come from simply leading by example.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A manager who strives for excellence inspires everyone around them to do their best by <strong>showing<\/strong> the kind of work ethic and dedication that the company expects.<br><a name=\"manage\"><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.
